When I’m listening to my music, I want to enter my own world and be engulfed in the tunes. I want to let my daily concerns slip away, as I get snap my fingaz with Lil Jon or discover the animal I have become with Three Days Grace. To listen to your music — and only your music — you would not be ill-advised to look into the new ANR-10 and ANR-20 noise-reduction headphones from the people at Turtle Beach, a company perhaps better known for their sound cards.

For a more street-ready look, the ANR-10 features a standard wrap-around style that you find on many other headphones on the market. The extra foam padding helps block some of the ambient sound, but it’s when you power up the noise cancellation features with a single AAA battery that you’ll really hear the difference. Retail is $60.

For the full-on DJ style, you should look no further than the ANR-20. With huge cushioned cups, a detachable cable, and a fold-up design, these headphones probably need batteries as well for the noise cancellation features. In fact, because the cable can detach, you can eschew music altogether and only make use of the noise cancellation. Rock-a-bye baby… Retail price is $100.
