This in-car DVD player will take on all those video files you have floating around on your computer’s hard drive, as well as the usual mix of MP3 and WMA music files. While it can handle both the DVD+R/RW and DVD-R/RW flavours of optical discs, there doesn’t appear to be any support for the dual layer variety. But yes, of course it plays regular CDs (and CD-R/RWs) as well.
No word on a North American release, but the people of Japan will be able to get their hands on the DivX-playing JVC KV-DV50 come September. The asking price will be about US$250.
