A Bluetooth headset designed with women in mind

More than half the people on the planet are female. It’s about time that headset manufacturers recognize this fact.

Well, the folks at Plantronics have been working on this, and they’ve come up with a functional yet attractive idea. It’s a Bluetooth headset that doubles as jewelry.

Actually, when you look more closely, you see that’s not really a headset at all. The microphone is worn on a necklace and certainly looks stylish enough to pass for jewelry. When you want to take or make a call, just lift the pendant to your mouth and talk to your heart’s content. I’m not really sure where the earpiece is in this equation, though.

Other details are sparse at the moment, including pricing and release date. We have patience.
