While the new Picture Porter Elite from Digital Foci is being marketed as a digital photo album, it can also play back videos with the best of them, effectively putting it into the same league as countless other personal media players on the market. There’s no mention of music (MP3, WMA, or otherwise) playback though.

The 3.6-inch LCD display is a fairly decent size, as it gives a healthy balance between portability and viewability. The Picture Porter Elite comes in 40GB and 80GB capacities, providing plenty of space for all your digital photos. It’s got a bunch of memory card readers in it as well — CF I/II, MD, MMC, SD, Memory Stick, etc. — making it a great tool for vacations where you don’t have a chance to unload pictures onto a PC.

Another nifty feature is the PictBridge support for easy printing, as well as the ability to view EXIF data and histogram information. You can even connect the Picture Porter Elite to your TV to see your photos and videos on the big screen.
