Motorola is keeping busy. They just want to own all the press release pages today, unveiling no fewer that six new products to us, the slim phone crazed public (more on the other items a little later today).

I guess the V3x version of the RAZR was due for an update sooner or later and today we got it in the form of the MOTRORAZR MAXX. In addition to the UMTS we saw in the V3x, the MAXX throws down EDGE and HSDPA for all your high-speed data needs. Unfortunately, it’s still a tri-band (900/1800/1900 MHz) GSM unit, missing that all important 850 band.

At 25% slimmer than the V3x, the MOTORAZR MAXX (that’s a lot of caps, Motorola) is only 0.6-inches thick. Other key features include Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, 50MB built-in memory, microSD expansion, a 2.2-inch QVGA display, 2.0 megapixel primary and VGA secondary cameras, and touch sensitive music controls.

Expected launch is sometime before the end of the year, though we don’t know for sure whether the MAXX is coming State-side or not.
