Not to be confused with the computer line from HP, Pavion is set to unleash a brand spanking new portable navigation unit onto the world, and like so many others of its kind, the KCN 9000 throws down some multimedia functionality as well.
The vibrant 3.5-inch QVGA TFT touchscreen comes by way of Samsung, and it is capable of displaying resolutions up to 320 x 240 pixels. Under the hood you’ll find ATLAS2 paired with a 300MHz processor. In the memory department, there’s 32MB of ROM and 64MB of RAM, with room for expansion via SD memory cards (there appears to be one bundled in).
The whole thing runs on Windows CE.NET 4.2 (core version), and it seems perfectly capable of doing the MP3 dance, acting as a digital photo album, and playing back a variety of video files. For navigation, the Pavion KCN 9000 uses SiRFStar III. No word on pricing.
