Those crazy kids over at Yanko Designs have yet another truly bizarre future concept for us to consider. It’s called the Tripod, and at first glance it looks like a pretty typical MP3 player, albeit one in a distinctive triangle shape. That will work great for you until you want to watch a movie. When that time comes, all you have to do is turn the player upside down, press a button and pull the two sides of the player a part. Suddenly, the triangle shape of the player becomes a stand for a fairly large screen which folds out from inside of the player. It’s a widescreen OLED display, so you can enjoy good quality visuals. There’s a hinge that fold out behind the screen so that it stays in place. The controls of the MP3 player pop out of place and become a remote control for the video screen.

It’s an interesting and exciting concept, but of course we won’t see it for a long, long time. If ever.
