The phone uses Symbian OS 9.1 and the upgraded UIQ 3 platform. It’s a tri-band GSM 900/1800/1900 phone with UMTS 2100, which will be handy soon when the 2100MHz spectrum hits the auction block soon and gets unleashed via your friendly neighborhood wireless carrier.
Boasting a 2.8 inch touch screen, 802.11b Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, a 2 megapixel camera for decent pictures, and a QWERTY keypad will make it easier to take advantage of the full range of e-mail functions, and a media player.
Now that is has been approved, the wait for this monster shouldn’t be long. We should see it sometime this quarter, though there are no details on price or providers yet.
