BlackBerry devices are synonymous with business users on the go, being able to keep in touch with the office while out on the road. Research in Motion, the Canadian based-company that created the BlackBerry, is said to be getting ready to teach a few more tricks to the not-so-old dog. In addition to some of the other stuff that they’ve mentioned in the past – like a camera, GPS, expandable memory, etc. – there is word that Wi-Fi is on its way to the BlackBerry as well.
Co-CEO James Balsillie has gone on the record that they are working on a device that sports “both Wi-Fi and cellular technology”, and I say, it’s about time. You can’t really be a true business machine without some sort of WLAN (preferably G) connectivity.
This could prove to be a Godsend for all your high bandwidth users out there (like you Sona Mobile video watchers), reducing your monthly bill. Of course, if its on the company tab, who’s counting anyways?
