As you can probably guess, this device allows you to convert the power found on standard AA batteries – preferably of the Energizer e2 Lithium variety if the battery maker has anything to do with it – into a usable form for your cell phone, iPod, Nintendo DS Lite, or most other portable electronics. The Cell Phone Charger takes a pair of AA batteries, whereas the one designed for “audio and gaming devices” demands a quad of AA dry cells.
Connectors are available for “80 percent of the cell phone brands available in the United States”, as well as standard mini USB devices, Sony PSP, Nintendo DS, Game Boy Advance, and a selection of iPods.
Retailers will sell the four-battery power packs for $29.99 each, the two-battery power packs for cell phones for $19.99 and will include the reusable charger, a smart tip and Energizer e2 Lithium AA batteries. Look for them in stores this September.
