The IRIS security camera is the perfect accessory for paranoid homeowners. It is, if the company is to be believed, the world’s first network-independent wireless stand-alone camera that can send live video to your mobile phone. You don’t need to be a rocket scientist to set it up, either. You just need a 3G phone. The camera has its own integrated SIM card, so you can dial directly into the camera to see what is going on at home when you aren’t there. It also supports multiple users to dial in simultaneously, a good solution to a board meeting that a few execs can’t make it to.

The camera has an alarm mode. When that is on, any motion that the camera senses causes it to record what it sees and upload the video to a secure server. It then sends you a text message so you can check out the video and figure out if you need to get the cops to check it out.
