Not sure about you, but I get tired of carting around the laptop, digital camera, mobile phone, and all the cords, adapters, and headsets that go with them. Any chance I get to dump stuff in one place for a few hours while I go off and get something to eat, I take it.
The folks at ChargeBox have me as a fan. They have come out with a locker that not only stores your stuff but also recharges it while you’re away. You can charge your MP3 player, your mobile phone, your PDA, and just about everything else electronic that you would want to juice up. The main drawback is that you can’t charge a laptop. I assume that future models will incorporate such functionality.
There’s a fee, of course, but it’s not much more than you would pay for a normal locker, say like one found in an airport. You can also use your mobile device to find the ChargeBox nearest you.
The company is based in the U.K., and the product is so far only there. It costs just 1 pound, and that gets you 40 minutes of charging time. You can pay either by coin or by SMS.
