The new Samsung SCH-B570, with its 8 GB hard drive, has been very well received, but it has been banned in a very unexpected place – Samsung headquarters. “8GB storage capacity is more than enough to steal all confidential data about our company,” said Ki-Tae Lee, CEO of Samsung Electronics’ Telecommunications Network during the Wireless Broadband Forum in Seoul.

Samsung has been particularly on edge since facing several technology leakage situations that come from inside the company in recent months. They have also long banned any of their phones with cameras from entering any research and development facility which contains new products. It will be interesting to see if this similar sentiment towards this phone, and others with large capacities (along with iPods and other PMPs), spreads throughout the business world more than it already has. The technology makes data removal simple and often undetectable if a policy to prevent it isn’t in place.
