Sprint Nextel talking to Sling Media, other companies

Now that mobile phones can handle multimedia with ease and users are rapidly adopting the latest technology, providers are racing to create the best content offerings to win customers. Sprint Nextel has reportedly been talking to several media technology companies, including Sling Media, in an effort to make their mobile entertainment services more entertaining. The company insists that a pact with Sling Media is not imminent, but the technology is attractive to Sprint because it allows people to enjoy the same experience whether they are in front of their TV at home or watching on their phone on the road.

The company is also focusing efforts on improving the quality of the video that they deliver. The company is even considering producing their own video content specifically for phones to ensure the quality suits phone screens. They regularly receive scripts and requests to fund their production.
