BenQ Siemens has introduced a new music phone, the EF71, and they have built it for sweet sound. It features the Q-Fi music system, which is made up of a ten-band equalizer connected to a pair of 3D surround sound speakers. The phone has BenQ Siemen’s own playback app to maximize the performance and dedicated controls.

The phone doesn’t stop at music, though. It also has a 2 megapixel camera with 9x digital zoom. If you hook the phone up to your PC via USB, you can use the camera as a webcam, too. While you’re doing that, you can charge the battery via USB as well. You can see your pictures on the 2.2 inch, main display, or a 128 x 64 pixel OLED when the phone is closed.

The phone is tri-band GSM/GPRS and has Bluetooth. Onboard memory is only 24MB, but has a microSD slot saves the day. It will come with a 256MB card.

Availability is for Asia in July and Europe in September.
