Now this sounds like what I’m looking for in a mobile computing solution. Instead of the 17- or 19-inch behemoth laptops that are flooding the market geared toward gamers on the go, the new Toshiba Satellite Pro U200 has more utilitarian purposes in mind, as the company designed this compact 12.1-inch screened notebook with business users in mind.

If you want to jump onto the Core Duo bandwagon, you can opt for the T2400 variety, but for you Core Solo enthusiasts, they also offer the U200 with a T130 processor. 512MB of DDR2 SDRAM comes standard, and you get a hard drive with up to 80GB of storage. You can be sure that all your restricted-access data is staying nice and secure with the fingerprint reader, and connecting to the world around you isn’t a problem thanks to the integrated 802.11a/b/g WLAN and Bluetooth 2.0. And yes, you get a DVD burner in there as well.

With a water-resistant keyboard and a damage-minimizing motion sensor, the Toshiba Satellite Pro U200 notebook computer is available now, with prices starting around $1767.
