All you religious followers of Catherine Zeta Jones now have another flipping option when it comes to purchasing a new handset with T-Mobile. We first heard about the Samsung T609 back in March, knowing full well that it would fall into American hands soon enough, and now the quad-band clamshell is available through a mobile kiosk near you.

For starters, you get a 1.3 megapixel camera which is also capable of taking movies, just don’t expect to produce an Oscar winner with this thing; although, thanks to the video playback functionality, you can watch a movie. It will handle your high speed data with EDGE, jam out your MP3s, and connect you wirelessly to those around you (and your headset) via Bluetooth. AOL, Yahoo! and ICQ instant messengers are built in as well.

Strangely, they don’t mention anything about internal memory capacity or a memory card slot, so your guess is as good as mine. What we do know is that the T609 will put you back $150 after rebates, unlike its cameraless brethren – the T509 – which only costs you a Ulysses S. Grant.
