Okay, so they only managed to get a bum shot of the thing, but here is the latest spy picture of the upcoming 2007 Mercedes CL Class. Based on what we can see, the design is clearly in line with recent developments of the German automaker, and will fit in nicely with the rest of their offerings.

This photo is likely not of the final product, of course, and is still a prototype amidst development, but it should be pretty close to production level if they expect to release it as a 2007 model. Most notably, this car has the least amount of “let’s hide our car so the competitors can’t know everything about it” gear on it. The character line that runs down the side of the car and into the taillights can clearly be seen.
