Remember when car companies used to only make cars? Fiat is the latest car maker to venture into the realm of mobile phones. The phones will be made out of aluminum with a blue finish and the FIAT name in such big letters that it can’t be missed. The point of the phones is clearly fashion for Fiat, because they haven’t released the specifications that we expect from phone makers. We do know that there will be several models, and that some of them will feature, in various combinations, camera, MP3 capabilities, Bluetooth and internet functionality. There are even hints that one or more of the phones will be waterproof. All of the phones will be displayed in plastic containers which cleverly look like pistons.

If you are sold and want to advertise Fiat every time you make a call, you will have to head to Italy. They will be available there later this month. Stores across Europe will have them available later in the summer.
