Hitachi has come out with an eBook reader of its own.

The Japanese electronics giant has introduced the Albirey, a black-and-white electronic book reader aimed for commercial release. The most significant element of this product seems to be its size: It’s A4 paper size, which means it is as close to 8.5 x 11 as you’re going to get. That’s rather large for an eBook reader; other models on the market are designed to be more portable and, thus, have smaller screens.

Not all details are in yet on this product. Initial word is that it will have some sort of Wi-Fi capability and will sell for the equivalent of US$3,600.
