Any long time fan of aerial battles and airplane games will be quick to point out that the Ace Combat series from Namco is second to none when it comes to the genre. Ultra realistic gameplay and physics, complete with authentic military aircraft make for an unforgettable experience that hasn’t changed much from the original version way back in 1995.
Well, for the first time ever you’ll be able to take to the skies in the palm of your hand with Ace Combat X: Skies of Deception for the Sony PlayStation Portable. To be showcased at the upcoming E3 conference in a couple of weeks, this new title will immediately feel familiar to fans of the Ace Combat franchise, being able to jump right into the part-history, part-fiction storyline. The game plays somewhere between a complex flight simulator and an arcade shooter, and all your basic controls are here, from banks and rolls, to machine guns and missiles.
Expect 20+ missions when Ace Combat X hits a tiny screen near you this fall. And yes, there will be wireless multiplayer deathmatches.
