The Modec Zero Emission Van may finally be a viable option for freight carriers looking to efficiently operate without polluting the world with diesel smoke. Up until now, electric systems haven’t had the range and the speed to make it possible. The Modec is different. When it is loaded with two tons of freight it is able to travel up to 120 miles and can cover 100 miles distance at 50 miles per hour on a single charge. All that and it is quiet and emission free as well.

The vehicle is designed for use by large fleets. One major factor it has going for it is its simplicity. The Modec has just three moving parts in the electric engine, there are more than 300 in a typical diesel engine. That should allow companies to streamline their maintenance operations.
