This ATV can be yours, especially if your normal mode of transportation is a wheelchair.

It’s the Superfourin chair, and it sports command-driven four-wheel drive, superfly fat tires, an environmentally conscious hybrid engine, the latest in technology driving an onboard computer, and specially designed sensors that can monitor the status of both the vehicle’s performance and your vital signs. It even calls for help if you’re in trouble and unable to make the call yourself.

It has a little-engine-that-could motor that can go right up inclines as steep as 40 percent. And the bulldozer-like tires let you roll right over such obstacles as tree roots, curbs, and other bumps in the road.

The Superfourin chair is out of Germany, speficially the Otto Bock HealthCare GmbH and the Fraunhofer Institute for Information and Data Processing IITB. No price is available yet.
