Ferrari and Lamborghini better watch out, because Caparo Vehicle Technologies is coming to town with the incredible T1 supercar, a street legal F1 that can roar up to 60mph from a complete standstill in a mere 2.5 seconds. The V8 certainly helps give this vehicle a considerable jump off the line, but I guess what tips the scales is the fact that its a feather-light 1,100 pounds.

The look of the car will easily turn a head or ten, because the design is the result of pulling together a number of ex-McLaren engineers. The front wheels are quite separate from the rest of the chassis, and I suppose this contributes significantly to the reduction in weight, as well as improving the aerodynamics. If you keep the pedal to the metal – play safe, kids – the Caparo T1 is said to top out at about 200mph.

Look for this absolutely insane supercar to be unveiled by His Most Serene Highness of Monaco at the kingdom’s Top Marques event next week.
