Four doors and seven years ago… sorry, that was lame. Anyways, Jeep will be releasing a new Wrangler Unlimited for next year, and one of the major changes this time around, is that you’ll be able to pick up everyone’s favourite off-roader with four doors. They say this is the first of its kind, allowing for five adult passengers and more cargo space in a convertible Jeep.
To make room for the extra people in the back, they’ve stretched the wheelbase 20.6 inches, bumping the Wrangler Unlimited into “mid-size SUV proportions.” Of course, one of the main appeals of the Wrangler in the first place is the removable roof allowing for an open-air experience as you transverse some less than ideal driving conditions. Now you can share that love of the outdoors with four friends.
The all-new 2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited will be offered in three trim levels – Unlimited X, Sahara, and Rubicon – and will still have those signature elements that define the Wrangler: exposed hinges, removable full-framed doors, and a fold-down windshield.
