Dell spills the beans on new Latitude widescreen notebooks

image_38339_largeimagefile Dell spills the beans on new Latitude widescreen notebooksThe guy in the commercial keeps telling me to get a Dell, but the company has been so hush-hush about its next generation of business notebooks. Up until now, at least, because they’ve finally revealed details about the new Latitude D620 and D820, sporting widescreen displays and cellular broadband connections.

You’ll find the latest in Core Duo processor technology in these beasts, with cellular broadband connections coming from Cingular or Verizon. If you happen to be on a business trip in Europe, you’d get your high speed data from Vodafone. This way, no matter where your job may take you, you’ve got a reliable (and fast) connection to the interweb. Both units will also come with full-sized keyboards.

The D620 comes with a 14.1-inch widescreen display, weighs in at 4.4 pounds, and starts at $1,149, whereas the beefier 5.6-pound D820 packs in a 15.4-inch widescreen for $1,289 and up.
