Say the word and the fastest route is in your hand. That’s the promise fulfilled by Novogo.

New from one of the leaders in the personal navigation industry is the V Series, a set of handheld GPS devices that boast advanced voice command functionality. All you have to do is tell the NOVOGO where you want to go, and you’ll get a step-by-step traffic map, including ways to avoid traffic jams or accidents. It’s all through the virtual magic of GPS.

NOVOGO promises that its products are out-of-the-box ready-to-use and require no technical knowledge. The V Series devices feature a 3.5″ color LCD touch screen and also come with cover plates that can be installed inside your vehicle. Keeping with the user-friendly design, these mounts are installed using suction mounts, making it easy to take the GPS device with you when you leave your car.

For those of us who want to know more about the technical side, there is this specs rundown: rechargeable Li-ion batteries, an Intel 400MHz processor, 64MB SDRAM, a 20-channel GPS receiver with flip-up antenna, a built-in loud speaker, a mini USB cable.

The memory options are 1GB and 1.5GB, with corresponding price tags at US$599 and US$699. Shipping this April.
