Why pay twice when you don’t have to? That’s the mantra coming from the supply side of the mobile music download equation, thanks to an agreement between mBlox and NewVisions. Now, you can get that download and avoid subsequent data charges, which are such a pain to many users.

Currently, you the fan of mobile music pay an initial charge to download the music and then pay again for operator data charges. In some cases, these data charges can be as much as three times what you paid for the initial download.

The service will be available by the end of the week in the U.K., with music being provided initially by music labels V2 and Ministry of Sound. The arrangement makes it easier also for artists to get their music directly to consumers, avoiding traditional distribution methods and the costs of those methods.
