It’s really hard to set yourself apart in the world of PMPs anymore, so the best you can do is throw in as much file format support you can into a sleek design, and it seems that Nainworks has achieved this. The simple cover/stand on the UMI is functional, and the rounded edges, well, they just look nice. As far as what kinds of media this thing will take, it’s got you covered: MPEG1, MPEG4 SP, XviD, DivX3/4/5 + SMI, MP3, WMA, Ogg Vorbis, AC3, and WAV.
If the 4-inch 480 x 272 widescreen isn’t sufficient, you can always make use of the TV-out (both PAL and NTSC). There are 20 gigs of storage on-board, and battery life rings in at 5 hours for video, 10 hours for audio.
