This is about the 20th time I’ve written about a new USB drive that is the world’s smallest. Pretty soon they’ll be so small that they’re invisible and we’ll just have to take the manufacturers word that they exist. We can still see the Petito, made by ATP Taiwan, but it is pretty tiny. It is a USB 2.0 compatible flash drive with capacities ranging from 256MB to 1GB. It’s 9.4 x 17.6 x 36.3 mm and weighs 8 measly grams. As with every tiny drive, my biggest fear would be losing it.

You don’t sacrifice performance for size. It can still transfer data at 30 MB/s. It is completely encapsulated, so it won’t be hurt by reasonable amounts of dirt, water and shock. You can set up a password for extra security.

The Petito will come in gold or silver now, or you can wait until April to get it in dark blue and titanium.
