They’ve certainly embraced the old adage that “there’s no replacement for displacement”, adding a special crankshaft with longer stroke, forged pistons with a larger diameter, and an increased cylinder bore. This takes the stock 5.5-liter engine and transforms it into a huge 6.3-liter monster.
The Biturbo V12 engine is mated with a 5-speed automatic transmission. The torque curve peaks at 2100 rpm, maxing out at a mere 974 lbs-ft. This car is electronically limited to a 340 km/h (211mph) top speed, though based on the numbers, it’s clear the Brabus S is capable of more.
Other upgrades include a more efficient intercooling system, larger turbochargers, a stainless steel exhaust with four pipes, 20- and 21-inch Brabus Monoblock light-alloy wheels, and a high performance brake system featuring 12-piston aluminium fixed callipers.
