Okay, so this far from being the biggest transformation we’ve seen, but if you’re not a fan of the recent surge of black everything – from black iPods to black cell phones – then you’ll be happy to hear that the Sharp W-ZERO3 PDA will now be available in silver as well. Thank you, Willcom.
The feature set, however, remains unchanged. You’ll still an extra-large QWERTY keyboard, a good-sized 3.7-inch VGA touchscreen that can be used both in portrait (default) and landscape (when the aforementioned keyboard is deployed) modes, and a 416 MHz Xscale processor. This Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC sports 128MB of flash memory, 64MB of RAM, and a MiniSD expansion slot.
Interestingly, you’ll still only get 802.11b here, rather than any kind of G-level connectivity. The W-ZERO3 is far from being a tiny at 220 grams (7.75 ounces) and 70 x 130 x 26 mm (2.75 x 5.1 x 1.0 inches), but you do get a on-par 1.33 megapixel camera. No word on exact launch date of the silver W-ZERO3, but expect pricing to be around the same as its black-clad brethren.
