More news from the Geneva Motor Show that’s taking place this week, and this time it’s from Toyota. The popular car maker unveiled the Aygo for Sports, a roofless sports-theme concept that is based on the current T180.
Obviously, this car was never meant to be used on a rainy day, and is rather targeted at the beach party crowd. In fact, in keeping with the nautical theme, we find some radical new materials in the interior, including Neoprene and a teak floor. The Aygo for Sports runs on 17-inch alloy wheels, sports an Ocean Blue paint job, and its clusters light up with LEDs.
In related news, the Yaris has barely made its way onto North American soil, but Toyota has already developed the Yaris T Sport. Due out some time next year, this new vehicle will come with a 1.8-litre gasoline engine, and despite its diminutive stature, will sit on a set of 17-inch alloys. An upgraded RAV4 – with a ‘Sport’ tag – is also being exhibited with a 2.2-litre D-4D diesel engine for 201hp and 332 lbs-ft of torque.
