The handheld digital microscope just got better.
Scalar, which already makes the handheld DG-2A, has upgraded its presence in the highly competitive microscope market with its latest offering, the highly-portable DG-3. Among the features of this new device are a 3.5″ LCD, a parfocal zoom lens that goes from 25x to 1000x, and a 2.3 megapixel CCD sensor.
The company lists NASA, Boeing, and major automakers as its clients.
Pricing for the DG-3 begins at US$5780, with lenses retailing for US$660.
