Here’s a hot little number from Sagem. The MyW-7 is a fully functional multimedia phone, complete with 3G/UMTS technology, video-telephony functionality, and all those other bells and whistles you’d expect from a leading edge handset. The UMTS connection allows for data transmission speeds of up to 384 KB/sec, which is great, considering that this phone can make full use of that speed.
The dual on-board cameras – one of which is a megapixel shooter – switches seamlessly for video telephony. You’ll be able to see the person on the other side bright and clear, as well, thanks to the 256k color, 176 x 220 pixel display. Not the biggest screen in the world, but they say this is enough to provide “high-fidelity rendering of the images.” That’s good to hear, since this hot little handset can also show live TV.
As with all multimedia devices these days, the Bluetooth-ready Sagem myW-7 also does video capture and playback, as well as high-speed music downloads. Connecting to the internet couldn’t be easier thanks to the integrated 3G UMTS modem, and MMS-photo exchanges are super quick.
