Nikon has come out with Capture NX, a powerful image processing and editing software suite that enables photographers to produce top-notch pics without process headaches.

Based on the existing Capture software, NX features high-level color management control, advanced batch processing, fast and easy image browsing—all in an intuitive interface that Nikon says will delight novices and professionals alike. The vast majority of these features can be used in browse mode, saving time and effort.

One innovative feature is the company’s “U Point” technology, which allows the user to edit just a portion of a photo, simply by identifying “control points” that can be “instructed” to be flashpoints for changing lighting, tone, color balance, etc.

Capture NX will be available in the next few weeks.
