The Photo Marketing Association International’s trade show – aptly named PMA 2006 – doesn’t open its doors until next week, but the news is already pouring in fast and furious. Among the pre-show highlights are a couple of new digital cameras from Casio’s Exilim line: the EX-Z850 and EX-Z60.
As an upgrade to currently available Z750, the Casio Exilim Zoom EX-Z850 comes with an impressive 8.1 megapixel sensor, a 0.003 second shutter lag, and some great anti-shake DSP. Get those close-up pics with the 3x optical zoom, and check out your shots on the 2.5-inch LCD. Storage comes in the way of SD cards.
The Casio Exilim Zoom EX-Z60 isn’t quite as impressive feature-wise, but it isn’t exactly anything to sneeze at either. Look for 6 megapixel snapshots, 3x optical zoom, image stabilization, and SD expansion.
No word on pricing or launch dates just yet, but I suspect more information will present itself at PMA in Orlando, Florida.
