Here’s another candybar style smartphone for all you slim-is-in freaks. The HTC Tornado is now carried by T-Mobile, but as with every other HTC product, it’s getting re-branded. Known as the T-Mobile SDA, this powerful business solution runs on the Windows Mobile 5.0 operating system and sports a 200 MHz OMAP processor.
Digital imaging comes in the way of a standard 1.3 megapixel camera that can also do video capture. The display is of the QVGA 605K color TFT variety, and of course it does the multimedia thing with Windows Media Player. Add in some extra memory using the miniSD slot. High-speed data is fully covered here, with Blutooth, EDGE, Wi-Fi, and GPRS support.
Weighing in at 3.74 ounces, and measuring 4.53 x 1.82 x 0.69 inches, the T-Mobile SDA gives a battery life of up to 5 hours of talk time and 8 hours of standby. Look for this quad-band world-smartphone at your local T-Mobile store, retailing for $299.99 less a $50 mail-in rebate.
