Multi-megapixel cameraphones are nothing new if you happen to live in Seoul, but for the rest of us, getting anything more than 1.3MP on a cellular phone just sounds amazing. Europe seems to have hit the jackpot with the new SGH-Z710 by Samsung, which sports a more than adequate 3.2 megapixel imaging sensor. Unveiled in Barcelona at the 3GSM show, this 3G clamshell most notably features a swivelling 2.15-inch LCD screen with QVGA resolution.
Multimedia support is a piece of cake with dual speakers and both MP3 and AAC audio support. Load up on the 128MB of internal memory, or expand by way of MicroSD cards. The external display comes in full color and measures 1.1 inches. If high speed data transfer is more your cup of tea, look no further than GPRS, UMTS, and Bluetooth found on this handset.
No word on pricing just yet, but look for it sometime in the second quarter of this year.
