Toshiba brings to market two new laptop models, the Tecra A6 and Tecra A7, geared towards the small-to-medium and public markets.
The new laptop models feature Intel’s latest Centrino Mobile Technology, which is known for decreasing power consumption while not limiting performance levels, be it involving graphics or the notebooks’ wireless capabilities.
Of the two laptop models, the Tecra A6 is aimed at those who want a slightly more compact model. It weighs less than 5.5 pounds and features a 14.1-inch widescreen display. It ships with a six-cell battery pack capable of providing over five and a half hours of the battery life.
The Tecra A7 line of Toshiba laptops on the other hand feature a 15.4-inch widescreen display and offers Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 or NVIDIA Quadro NVS graphics chips, and high-speed Serial-ATA hard drives. Users also have a choice if they want a CD-RW/DVD-ROM or DVD SuperMulti drive.
Always thinking of professionals ‘on the go’, the new laptops offer the firm’s one-touch undock and go functionality via Toshiba’s optional Advance Port Replicator III+.
The Tecra A6 is available for US $1,149, while the Tecra A7 can be yours for US $1,199.
