With even mobile phones now sporting GPS functionality these days, manufacturers are racing to advance the technology as far and as quickly as possible. But here’s a device that goes back to basics.
The size of a credit card, this handy device boasts a 32-hour battery life and a price tag under $US 100. The easy-to-read interface sports readouts for heading, departure time, arrival time, trip distance, and time and distance to the destination. You can also set alarms, to let you know when a certain speed or time has been achieved.
The device is waterproof (and, we presume, sweatproof). In fact, it’s so lightweight that it floats! You can also buy an arm strap, so the runner or explorer in you can take it with you for tracking and, of course, avoiding getting lost. Other accessories include a universal travel charger with USB connector, a car charger, a very handy AA-battery-to-USB adapter, and even a bike handlebar bracket.
Let the trekking begin!
