In Korea, slim is in. The super thin renditions of cell phones sell like hotcakes, so it comes as no surprise that Korea’s number one mobile phone manufacturer is launching yet another handset, and yes, it’s a thin one. You won’t even notice the 85 gram Samsung SGH-E870 in your pocket, and there won’t be any unsightly bulges either. Its dimensions are a mere 92 x 42 x 16 mm.

All the usual features apply. Look for an external OLED display for some caller ID action, and an internal 65K color LCD screen. The latter will be perfect for viewing the snapshots you’ll grab using the integrated 1.3 megapixel camera. Running out of memory? Expansion is easy utilizing the microSD slot, and upload it all using Bluetooth.

You can probably expect the SGH-E870 to hit Korean shelves some time soon, but as far as when us lowly North Americans can get our hands on one… well, that’s still up in the air. Pricing has yet to be announced.
