Having a ‘Ferrari’ need not cost you a fortune.

Oregon Scientific is set to launch an MP3 player bearing the Ferrari mark, the FMP160. The new MP3 player should appeal to the carmaker’s fans. Though the music player’s greatest “come-on” is its brand and design, consumers who are very particular with MP3 features and functions would also find the device enticing.

The FMP160 is very handy, with dimensions at 56 x 42 x 20 mm. It has a sleek round shape too, with the unit’s borders covered with bright red ‘slash-proof’ rubber. It has a sporty but elegant look, characteristic of the cars that Ferrari are known for. Complimenting these trendy features is a special edition container bearing the carmaker’s logo. The package also includes earphones and a lanyard.

With 1GB of internal memory, users could play several hours worth of music. Sound quality is guaranteed through the unit’s innovative SRS WOW sound enhancement. It is also versatile since it also doubles as a voice recorder.

Uploading and downloading files is easy since connectivity is via Bluetooth 2.0 technology. Fast recharging is also made possible via USB.

The FMP160’s price is set at $230 USD.
