If your phone doesn’t play MP3s, Samsung is giving you an updated choice. With the sucess of the SGH-i300, Samsung has upped the storage in the new SGH-i300x to 4GB from 3GB. The player is also multi-talented: it accepts AAC, AAC+, WMA, ASF, WAV, and WMA formats as well as the ubiquitous MP3. Also reaching into PDA territory the Music Phone processes Microsoft Office files through Windows Mobile, has a PDF viewer and a web browser. The screen is fairly large so your work can be done fairly easily for a cell phone.

Other must haves include a 1.3 MP camera with flash and Bluetooth capabilities, the latter letting you transfer files to the PC wirelessly. It also includes USB and iRDA interfaces for other means of getting data to other computers. The Music Phone SGH-i300x will be a triband GSM Phone which makes it unlikely as a combantant in the North American market, but hey, we can hope.
