PNY Technologies unveils new family of flash drives

PNY Technologies is a New Jersey company mostly known for graphic boards and cards, but they have used CES as an opportunity to unveil an entire new line of USB flash drives. There are four different models, each with a variety of capacity choices. They will be available in retail outlets within the first half of the year.

The Mini Attache is, well, mini. It has a slim profile to allow you to stack 2 drives into one computer. It has a patented swing design for the cap which prevents you from losing it. It comes is 256MB, 512MB, 1GB and 2GB prices starting at $34.99.

The Pro Attache is cased in titanium, so it is durable and sleek looking. The USB connector is retractable, so there is no cap to lose. It comes in 512MB, 1GB, 2GB and 4GB sizes. It is targeted as a higher end drive and starts at $69.99.

The Evolution Attache combines a USB drive with a 7-in-1 memory card reader. It only features 128MB or 256MB of embedded flash memory, but it can be expanded up to 2GB with the removable media. Targeted at photographers looking for an economical and flexible solution, this drive starts at $29.99.

Finally, the All-Terrain Attache is the drive you want with you on your crazy adventures. It is housed in rubber, comes in black or camouflage and is shock, dust, water and UV resistant. It comes in 512MB, 1GB and 2GB sizes starting at $59.99.
