The small get smaller it seems with the e-Disk II+. First, the tiny unit is USB flash drive you can expand from the as-it-comes 512MB to 4.5GB by adding an optional SD/MMC, or MMCMobile card. Pretec says the e-Disk II+ comes in various housings and with different interfacing, including to Mini SD or Memory Stick Duos.
Pretec says the card reader is the first of its size to allow access to a full 8-bit data bus. They appear to have much up-their-sleeves, promising to introduce similar USB devices. They are making a model, Pretec i-Disk Touch, which includes fingerprint biometrics. Both this and the e-Disk II+ will reach mass production next month according to the company.
