Cingular Wireless is going to be carrying one of LG’s latest phones, the CU320, designed specifically for ultra fast downloads and multimedia functionality. Featuring high speed UMTS 3G technology, you’ll have no problem streaming all those videos on the 2-inch 176 x 220 pixel TFT LCD. Cingular’s new UMTS/HSDPA 3G network will empower clients with “one of the fastest data connections in the world”. In fact, you’ll be able to stream news, sports, and entertainment clips with the touch of a button.

One of the major selling points both Cingular and LG are trying to push with the CU320 is the ability to multitask. Users will be able to be on a voice call while downloading mobile content, like looking up movie times.

Snap your spur of the moment shots with a rotating 1.3 MP camera, fix it up with the on-board Photo Editor (not quite PhotoShop, but probably better than MS Paint), and send it to nearby friends via the Bluetooth connection. And you won’t have to worry about running out of memory, just carry around your TransFlash memory card and you’re good to go. You can even record up to 25 minutes of video at 15fps.

The sleek, sliding, EDGE-ready LG CU320 should be available sometime in Q1.
