Axion to unveil New Line of Portable Media Players at CES 2006
At the 2006 international Consumer Electronic show, Axion is all set to announce the launch of its first line of portable media players. Axion will launch two portable media players the AXN-9250 and AXN-9350 adding to its large product base of portable entertainment products designed and manufactured to provide pure “Entertainment Excellence.”
There is not much to distinguish between the two models, the only notable change being visible is that AXN-9250 is equipped with a 2.5” TFT LCD screen whereas the AXN-9350 is equipped with a 3.5” TFT LCD screen with all other specs remaining the same. Both these models have SD Card support and integrated lithium-polymer batteries.
Both the models support a slick design and a user-friendly software interface making it easier to play your favorite music video for your friends or to listen to MP3 music while traveling even for new users. Equipped with built-in microphones, one can record just about anything just about anywhere, and it’s compatible with Windows Media Player making it simple for users to download and keep track of their favorite tracks. Setting them up with a Windows PC is simple and fast — even for a novice computer user.
Speaking on the occasion Axion’s Director of Sales, Afshin Behrouz, said, “I believe we have manufactured a high quality alternative to Apple’s iPod devices. The new Axion PMPs deliver all the features of other players with a simple-to-use interface.”
The new portable media players from Axion come bundled with stereo earphones, USB cable, power adapter, installation CD, A/V cord, 1-year limited warranty and free technical support.

Secure Digital Card Slot (up to 1GB)
Support for MPEG 4-, MP3-, ASF-, WMA- and JPEG-formatted data
Weighs less than 6 oz
Both these models the AXN-9250 and AXN-9350 are expected to hit the streets in the first quarter of 2006 and are priced at $149 and $169 respectively.
