Following through on a deal that was cemented last August, Cingular Wireless products and services are now available in RadioShack stores across the United States.

The deal is a winner for both companies. RadioShack gets to showcase the red-hot Motorola V3 RAZR phone, so far the only mobile phone to feature Apple’s wildly popular iTunes video music player service, along with other hot properties such as the GoPhone. Cingular gets access to RadioShack stores, which are available in malls and shopping centers in thousands of locations in the U.S. Cingular, already the top American wireless provider, figures to increase its market share significantly.

“We’re excited that our customers now have access to Cingular’s exciting new technologies, handsets and competitive wireless plans,” said David Edmondson,
RadioShack’s president and chief executive officer.

Cingular Chief Operating Ralph de la Vega was equally effusive. “We are excited about giving wireless users this new avenue in buying, upgrading or enhancing their Cingular service,” he said.

To help promote the effort, RadioShack is rolling out a series of special offers, involving giveaways of Bluetooth headsets and other items.
