The Japanese company Sanyo has announced this week its plans to bring a new wireless broadband system to the U.S. market.
The partnership is with Soma Networks Inc., based in the U.S., and is expected to offer high-speed wireless to businesses around the United States and Europe and in other markets throughout the world.
Sanyo executives are hoping to sell the system for a total of US$358 million by the year 2010.
No details on speeds and protocols to be used in the system have been announced.
